Authorities in Morris County have confirmed remains found Thursday in Parsippany are human.

Capt. Jeffrey Paul of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office on Friday said the bones found are human.

The discovery was made at about noon Thursday by a landscaper working on Sylvan Drive, a little over a mile from the intersection of Interstates 80 and 287.

The remains haven't been identified.

Parsippany police and the Morris County Prosecutor's Office continue to investigate.
