Police are searching for a man they say discharged hundreds of gallons of fuel on to the ground at a Queens car rental company Friday.

The man broke into the Enterprise location at 83-34 23rd Ave. in East Elmhurst at about 1:45 a.m., police said. Once inside, he went to head vehicle refueling area and unhooked three hoses from the gasoline pumps.

He turned the hoses and left them laying on the ground, discharging several hundreds of gallons of fuel, police said.

The man then fled.

He's described as about 5 feet 10 inches and 160 to 185 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray and blue hat, black sunglasses, a gray sweatshirt and a black backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
