"You Can Go Home Again"

At least, that's the song that Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora sang in Woodbridge Tuesday (figuratively, not literally).

"This is exciting, nothing ever happens in Woodbridge," said cheerleader Lia Faiello, who listens to Bon Jovi's music, adding "it never goes out of style."

"He's our most famous alumnus," said Woodbridge Mayor Jon McCormac, standing outside Woodbridge High School, where a street was dedicated as Richie Sambora Way.

Sambora was honored for more than just growing up in New Jersey's 4th largest city.

He adopted the cause of former student Kelly Mohon whosuffers from brain cancer. Sambora paid to rennovate the home of Mohon, who is wheelchair-bound after suffering a brain tumor while in high school.

In addition, the student who raises the most money selling keychains to help her family will be awarded a $5000 scholarship by the rock star.

As a member of the state championship basketball team when he was a junior, Sambora also made a $40,000 donation to re-equip the high school weight room.

"Use it in good health my friends, and win, win, win, win, win," he said at the ceremony inside.

"He's showing the gift of altruism to our students," added Woodbridge Superintendent Dr. John Crowe
