$1K Reward Offered in Nassau Alligator Case

The alligator was spotted walking in a supermarket parking lot in Baldwin

The Nassau County SPCA is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who releaesd a three-foot alligator in a Pathmark parking lot.

The alligator was spotted walking in the store lot on Grand Avenue in Baldwin Tuesday evening.

Police captured the reptile and held it for the Nassau County Emergency Services Unit. The animal will be released to a local wildlife expert.
