Poll to Set Pace for Governor's Race Final Days

A Siena College poll due out this morning is expected to show if Democrat Andrew Cuomo is continuing to widen his lead over Republican Carl Paladino in New York's race for governor, or if Paladino has regained his momentum.

But the poll being released Wednesday isn't expected be a measure of how voters feel about Monday night's first and likely only debate. The poll would likely have to have started asking questions of voters days before the debate was held on Long Island.

The Siena poll of candidates for governor, attorney general, comptroller and New York's two U.S. Senate seats will try to measure voters' enthusiasm for the Nov. 2 vote.

The poll is scheduled to be released at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
