It’s Eliot Spitzer’s arena now.

After four months as co-host of “Parker Spitzer,” Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Kathleen Parker has exited the CNN show.

The cable news network said Friday it had reformatted “Parker Spitzer” to be an “ensemble” program on the issues of the day now called “In the Arena.”

The new show will still be helmed by Eliot Spitzer, the former New York governor felled in a prostitution scandal. “In the Arena” will also feature Fox News host E.D. Hill and National Review Online columnist Will Cain, The Washington Post reported.

It was long been rumored Parker might take the fall for “Parker Spitzer’s” poor ratings since its Oct. 4 debut, but the journalist said in her statement she wanted out to concentrate on opinion writing.

"While I am extremely proud of the show we created, and the subject matter and level of discourse 'Parker Spitzer' promoted every night, it was a difficult decision to scale back my column a few months ago and, with the show going in a new direction, it is a good time to move on," she said.

The New York Daily News reported Spitzer said it "was a joy working with [Parker] as a teammate, and I continue to be a huge fan of the wisdom that jumps from her written work and the wit, charm and insight she brings to all that she does."

"In the Arena" debuts next week.
