Vera Wang was apparently too late to get a spot in the Bryant Park tents this year, much to her disappointment. What's "too late"? Well, as it turns out, late July -- which does indeed seem a bit late to be making that kind of a decision (considering how massive fashion week can be). But then again, it's Vera Wang -- not exactly a lesser-known upstart.
Wang told WWD she was pretty disappointed by the whole affair, not only because the company wants to "support the American fashion industry," but also because "it's important to maintain our presence." Needless to say, the designer will likely be first in line to get a slot at the tents next year.
