We're Loving: Matthew Williamson for Atelier Swarovski

For his spring 2010 accessories collection, British designer Matthew Williamson collaborated with Atelier Swarovski on series of bold geometric pieces that look like they should be hanging in MoMA exhibit rather than around someone's neck.

Indeed, Williamson found inspiration for the chunky crystal pieces in the art world, specifically in the work of Jim Lambie, an installation artist known for crafting brightly-colored tableaus from pieces of scotch tape. The results of his re-interpretive efforts include oversized breastplate necklaces, giant cuffs and mirrored evening clutches in candy-colored crystal.

Our favorite is a show-stopping gold cuff with large geometric mirrors and a single crystal in the center.  If you can resist the urge to frame it and keep it on display, this is the sort of piece that knocks the air out of a room if paired with a little black dress.
