A trench designed by Billy Reid for Tommy Hilfiger features a leather vest.
As part of a partnership with the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, Tommy Hilfiger has recruited 10 designers to create limited-edition trench coats that will be available (in extremely small quantities) at Hilfiger's Fifth Avenue flagship starting Saturday.
The collaboration is part of the Americans in Paris initiative, which sends 10 up-and-coming talents from New York to Paris to be a part of a special showroom, exposing the designers to a new audience. The group of 10 includes Prabal Gurung, Billy Reid, Monique Pean, Simon Spurr, Ohne Titel, Pamela Love, Albertus Swanepoel, Creatures of the Wind, Gregory Parkinson, and George Esquivel.
Only one of each of the designer's unique trench coats will be available starting Saturday, so we'd recommend shoppers hoping to get their hands on a specific designer's item get to the store early. Prabal Gurung's trench features hand-stenciled lace details, Billy Reid's (pictured) includes a leather vest, and Simon Spurr's trench has leather motorcycle sleeves. Each trench retails for $298.
