Banana Republic Teams Up with Chan Luu on Bracelets Capsule

With nearly everyone other major retail brand establishing new collaborations and collections with both indie designers and industry headliners, it seemed inevitable that Banana Republic would join in, tapping jewelry designer Chan Luu to create a limited-edition line of hip, wrap-around bracelets.

Vietnam-born designer (and FIT graduate) Luu's pieces have a certain easygoing glamour to them, which dovetails nicely with what Simon Kneen, Creative Director and EVP of Design, referred to as the brand's "effortless style" in a press release. The cord wrap bracelets -- embellished in her main collection with everything from turquoise to white pearl -- have become Luu's signature, and her pieces have the added bonus of celebrity appeal among starlets like Jennifer Aniston and Kate Hudson.

Luu's special-edition, 17-piece line of wrap bracelets for the brand are available strarting today exclusively at the brand's San Francisco outpost (in celebration of the store's first anniversary), but will roll out to other Banana Republic locations on August 10, priced between $95 and $225.
