Garance Dore for the Gap

For it's 40th Anniversary, The Gap is really upping it's fashion credibility, employing beloved style blogger and fashion illustrator, Garance Dore to design a limited edition (count 'em- 69 of each) collection of t-shirts to be displayed and sold in an exhibition during London Fashion Week.   But we're holding out hope that the Gap Gods will hear Garance's pleas.  On her blog she writes, "I called the wonderful team over at Gap and asked if there was any way we could find of selling a few on the internet. They told me that they’d try to find a solution."

With Fashion Week right around the corner, Garance and her real life partner, Sartorialist Scott Schuman are top of mind, as there isn't much higher of a sartorial accolade than to be requested for a picture by either outside the shows.

On the one hand, if you're a gentleman (a fine looking, Italian one with a penchant for French cuffs and double breasted suits) you're probably more inclined to be stopped by the latter.  While Garance's lens usually gravitates towards the model-ly, effortless lady that likely dwells in a ridiculously perfect, wall-papered apartment in Le Marais and sports Mcqueen pumps on her way to the market.

Garance writes on her blog that she'll be zipping off to London on Monday to set up- so the question that begs to be asked now is: Does this mean Garance will be absent for NY fashion week?
