The blockbuster reveal of Rem Koolhaas's 23 East 22nd Street got us thinking about the mid-rise building's neighbors. Not only must they suffer the indignity of being upstaged by the Dutch, but they also have the building's big bro to deal with. Not surprisingly, many apartments on the same block are on the market. Buyers looking to get close enough to look (but not touch) the new kids on the block should head to 22nd Street this weekend, because a handful of these apartments are showing their stuff. The block sure is changing, and for some, it's probably changing a little too much. The priciest of these listings (last in the gallery) was recently slashed by half a million dollars. Wealthy Rem stalkers take note.
