So, there's a wheat field (yes, this is correct) about a quarter of an acre in size at South Street Seaport. The Wheat Foods Council (of course) put it in and is calling it the “Urban Wheat Field Experience." Hurry, though, it's there until today and there is, of course, the opportunity to learn about "the lifecycle of the wheat kernel," etc. Just like in Nebraska. [Gothamist]
