The increase in winnings significantly impacted the earlier rounds -- awarding a nice paycheck of $69,500 for first round losers -- a 10 percent increase from last year.
Marketa Vondrousova earned the women's title, while Carlos Alcaraz won the men's crown to claim the record payouts of over $3 million.
