NY Congressman: Dubai Should Admit Israeli Player

Weiner says men's tournie should be canceled if player excluded

A New York congressman says a men's tennis tournament scheduled for the United Arab Emirates should be canceled unless an Israeli player is allowed to participate.

Organizers of the Dubai Tennis Championships cited security concerns in barring Shahar Peer from a women's tournament.

Tennis groups are now waiting to see whether the Emirates allows in another Israeli, Andy Ram, who is ranked No. 7 in the world in doubles.

Rep. Anthony Weiner says the Association of Tennis Professionals, which runs the men's tour, should cancel the tournament if Ram doesn't get a visa.
