More Robots to Replace Human Factory Workers

Over the next 10 years, cheaper, improved robots will replace humans working in factories, according to a report released on Tuesday, The Associated Press reported. Although only 10 percent of jobs that can be automated have already been taken over by robots, The Boston Consulting Group said in its report that by 2025, that number will increase to more than 23 percent. Investment in industrial robots will increase 10 percent a year in the world’s 25-largest export nations, decreasing labor costs by 33 percent in South Korea, 25 percent in Japan, 24 percent in Canada and 22 percent in both the United States and Taiwan.
