Meet the Cast of “SNL” Season 39

Saturday Night Live has entered its 39th season, and added many new faces.

Colin Jost is the newest co-host of "Weekend Update." Jost has been writing sketches for SNL since 2005 and was named head writer in 2012. He debuted at the anchor desk on March 1, 2014.

Sasheer Zamata is the newest cast member of "Saturday Night Live," the show has confirmed. She will be the first black woman cast member on the show in years, and she will appear on the Jan. 18 episode, according to "SNL." Drake is the host and musical guest.

Beck Bennett is a founding member of the Good Neighbor sketch group, along with fellow SNL newbie and cast mate, Kyle Mooney. Bennett also starred in the commercially successful "It's Not Complicated" AT&T ad campaign, which features Bennett asking kids a series of questions that are followed with often humorous responses.
Brooks Wheelan is a Los Angeles-based comedian who has worked as a writer for Funny or Die, a series of online comedy sketch videos. Wheelan was also listed as one of Comedy Central's 10 comics to watch for 2013, and is pictured performing during an appearance at The Ice House Comedy Club in Pasadena, California
Milhiser is the co-founder of the comedy sketch group and currently creates content for Broadway Video's YouTube channel Above Average. Milhiser has regularly performed at the UCB Theater in New York and Los Angeles, and has appeared on NBC's 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' and Comedy Central's 'Adam Devine's House Party.'
Noel Wells has appeared in numerous online comedy videos for Funny or Die, College Humor and She recently starred in the Indie film 'Forev' at the Los Angeles Film Festival.

Mike O'Brien began his comedic career at numerous Chicago improv theaters. He is best known for his popular web series, "7 Minutes In Heaven," in which he interviews celebrities in a closet. He is also a member of the sketch comedy group, The Reckoning, and has appeared on IFC's "Portlandia." Mooney, center, is a founding member of the Good Neighbor comedy sketch group, along with SNL cast mate Beck Bennett, pictured left. Mooney stars in the HBO series 'Hello Ladies' and has also appeared on NBC's "Parks and Recreation." Mooney has been a regular writer/performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (UCB) since 2007.
Strong will enter her second season as an SNL cast member. She gained notoriety for her "Weekend Update" character as "The Girl You Wish You Hadn't Started A Conversation With At A Party," and will reprise her role as co-anchor of Weekend Update, along with SNL cast mate and writer, Seth Meyers.

McKinnon returns for her second season having joined the SNL cast in April 2012. She is best known for her impressions of Anne Romney, Ellen DeGeneres and Penelope Cruz. McKinnon's performances garnered her recognition on Forbes' '30 Under 30' list for 2012.

Pedrad returns for her fifth season and has gained notoriety for her impressions of Kim Kardashian, Barbara Walters and Arianna Huffington.

Vanessa Bayer rejoins the cast for her fourth season. She was best known for her impression of Miley Cyrus in her first season and popular sketch, "The Miley Cyrus Show."
Thompson returns for his 11th season on 'SNL' and is currently the longest-tenured cast member. Thompson made his television debut in the 90s on Nickelodeon's all-kid sketch comedy show, "All That."
