Ballerina, 17, Accused of Stealing Wallet From Manhattan Studio

The teen had been previously arrested for stealing from the studio

A teenage ballerina was arrested after authorities alleged she stole a bag and wallet in the locker room of a dance studio on the Upper West Side -- the second time she’s been arrested for stealing at the studio, police said.

The 17-year-old allegedly swiped a bag containing credit cards and other valuables from the locker room bench at the "Steps on Broadway" dance studio on March 9, police said.

No purchases were made with the stolen credit card, police said.

The ballerina was taken into custody at the 20th Precinct in the Upper West Side on April 1, authorities said. She was charged with a misdemeanor.

The teen was previously arrested for another alleged theft at the studio on Nov. 20, authorities said.

An attorney for the teen told NBC 4 New York that he could not comment about the case.
