Suspect Sought in Bronx Drive-By Shooting: Police

Police are looking for a suspect wanted in a drive-by shooting that left one man injured last week in the Bronx.

The shooting happened on May 30 just after 6 a.m. on East 227 Street in Williamsbridge, authorities said.

Police say a late model gray Ford Escape pulled up alongside a 30-year-old man who was sitting in the rear driver’s-side seat of a dark-colored vehicle and fired several times into the car. The Ford fled the scene.

The victim, who was struck in the left hip, was taken to Montefiore Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police released surveillance video of the suspect vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
