A New York City man charged in the hit-and-run deaths of two young men has been ordered held without bail.
Prosecutors say Kenneth Guyear was drunk and speeding in a stolen car when he fatally struck 16-year-old Robert Ogle and 20-year-old Alex Paul in Middle Village, Queens, early Sunday.
Guyear pleaded not guilty at an arraigned Monday night on charges including assault, vehicular manslaughter and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. He was represented by a Legal Aid attorney, who did not return a call for comment.
If convicted, the 27-year-old Queens resident faces up to 25 years in prison.
Police say tests results showed Guyear's blood alcohol level was above the legal limit.
