Police discovered a partially decomposed body inside a truck in the Bronx after responding to a report of a foul odor Thursday afternoon, authorities say.
Officials found the body, an as yet unidentified man, in the back of the cab of a Chevrolet Silverado in Eastchester around 4 p.m., according to the NYPD.
There were no obvious signs of trauma on the body, police said; the medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine cause and manner of death.
Officials say they do not know who the owner of the truck is, but detectives are investigating.
It was not immediately clear how long the man’s body had been inside the truck.
