Penn Station's New Pret A Manger to Serve Booze

Commuters will be able to grab alcoholic beverages at the new Pret a Manger opening at Penn Station when it opens in May.

The eatery will feature a 12-seat beer and wine bar, a spokeswoman for the chain confirms.

Some of the alcoholic beverage choices include beer in bottles and on tap and wine from California, Italy and New Zealand, the company said.

The Pret A Manger at Penn Station will be the first in the U.S. to offer booze options.

At 5,968 square feet, the eatery will be twice as big as its standard space, with communal tables and high-top cocktail seating.

Penn Station has been revamping its dining options, recently opening a food hall called The Pennsy.
