NYPD Asks for Help in Solving Deli Arson

New York City Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an arson at a Harlem deli.

A man walked up to the front of Saied Deli on East 125th Street at about 2 a.m. Monday and poured a flammable liquid into the service window and exterior wall of the store and ignited it, police said. Employees managed to extinguish the fire. No one was injured.

The suspect fled east on East 125th Street toward Lexington Avenue, police said.

Police said the suspect appeared to be between 25-35 years old and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sneakers and a white Brooklyn Nets knit hat at the time.
