A man who robbed a New York City bank in a dress, high heels and a floppy hat turned himself in to police this week, authorities say.
Jordan Wise, of Staten Island, was taken into custody at the 120th precinct station at 9 p.m. on Sunday. He was charged with robbery and criminal use of a firearm on Monday.
Police say Wise is the muscular man who wore a silver and black formal dress while robbing the Santander Bank on Water Street on Staten Island last Monday. The robbery was captured on the bank's surveillance cameras.
The FBI and police had been searching for the high-heeled robber and considered him to be armed and dangerous.
