A muscular man in a dress, floppy hat and high heels robbed a New York City bank while armed with a handgun, and the FBI and police are searching for the suspect, who's considered dangerous.
The man walked into Santander Bank at 81 Water Street on Staten Island on Monday, wearing a silver and black formal dress, silver high heels, black hat and sunglasses, the FBI said.
The man, described as about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 and about 175 pounds, showed a silver handgun and robbed the bank.
Surveillance video later showed him in a nearby store pulling off the skirt, revealing plaid shorts and blue-and-white Nike Jordan sneakers. He was not wearing a shirt.
The suspect, who may have scarring around the mouth, should be considered armed and dangerous, the FBI-NYPD Joint Violent Crimes Task Force says.
Anyone with information should contact 800-577-TIPS or the FBI at 212-384-5000. The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
