A New Jersey youth counselor was arrested Thursday for allegedly sexually assaulting a boy under the age of 16 multiple times, prosecutors said.
Irving Acevedo, 42, of Old Bridge, was charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, authorities said.
He is in custody and waiting for bail to be set.
The teenager Acevedo allegedly assaulted was not one of the boys he provided mental health counseling to, authorities said.
Attorney information for Acevedo was not immediately available.
