State Police say a man died when his car ran off the Garden State Parkway and struck a tree.
The accident happened just before 5 a.m. Monday in Little Egg Harbor.
Sgt. Jeffrey Flynn tells the Asbury Park Press the preliminary investigation indicates 25-year-old Ryan Steel was in the left lane and his car ran off the right side of the highway.
Steel was from Kearny, New Jersey.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
