Police are investigating the death of an unidentified woman found in Newark early Saturday.
Newark Police found the woman lying in the bushes on South 11 Street at approximately 5 a.m Saturday.
She was unresponsive and pronounced dead a short time later.
The incident is being investigated by the Essex County Prosecutor's Major Crimes Task Force, according to Chief Assistant Prosecutor Thomas S. Fennelly of the Prosecutor's Homicide Unit.
