A Long Island man is accused of strangling a woman to death, police say.
Jaime DeLeon-Tino, 23, of Greenport, was arrested Tuesday just after 2 p.m. in Riverhead and is charged with second-degree murder, according to Suffolk County police. He will be arraigned Wednesday.
Police found Michelle Schiavoni, 27, dead in her Greenport home on 2nd Street on Monday around 10 p.m., officials said.
The motive behind the killing was not immediately known.
It is unclear if DeLeon-Tino has a lawyer who could comment on the allegations.
