Long Island Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Freeport

Police on Long Island are investigating a shooting in Freeport that left one man dead and another man injured.

It happened at a home on Frederick Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

Police say officers were called to a shooting at the home just before noon. Police say a man who does not live in the home was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The second man who police say lives in the home was also hospitalized and is recovering.

Nassau Police Det. Capt. John Azzata told Newsday they believe the men were targeted.

There have been no arrests.
