Police on Long Island are investigating the death of an inmate at the Nassau County Correctional Center in East Meadow.
Nassau County police say 47-year-old Kevin Brown was found unresponsive inside his jail cell at about 7 a.m. Monday and pronounced dead.
The cause of death is pending an autopsy. The death is not considered suspicious.
Police say the Far Rockaway man was serving a sentence for petit larceny.
