Long Island Duo Arrested for 12 Burglaries

Ten of the burglaries happened in the past two weeks, officials said

A man and woman were arrested Friday on charges they have recently burglarized 12 houses on Long Island, making off with jewelry, electronics and cash.

Suffolk County Police arrested Richard Neumann and Jessica King on Friday in connection with a rash of burglaries in Sayville, Medford, Patchogue and East Patchogue. Ten of the burglaries happened in the past two weeks, officials said.

Neumann, 29, and King, 23, who police said are acquaintances, were both charged with multiple counts of second-degree burglary.

All of the houses that were burglarized were empty when the two struck, according to police.

Information on lawyers for Neumann and King, who were scheduled to be arraigned Sunday, was not immediately available.
