Knife-Wielding Bandit Strikes Again, Robs Queens Fast-Food Joint: Cops

Police said the suspect has committed five robberies in Queens and 17 across Long Island

A knife-wielding thief wanted in a string of robberies at small businesses has struck again at a fast-food restaurant in Queens, police said Saturday.

The suspect entered a Subway restaurant at about 9 p.m. Friday on 108th Street, brandished a knife and demanded money, investigators said. He made off with as much as $400, police said.

The suspect left the area in what might have been a gray Honda, police said.

The robbery would marked the fifth by this suspect in Queens, police said. He's believed to have committed 17 robberies across Long Island.

In many of the robberies, a hooded man with a knife targets employees as they close up shop for the night.

No one has been injured in any of the hold-ups.

The robber has hit several donut shops, convenience stores and fast-food restaurants.
