Chilly But Pleasant Forecast Expected for Halloween

Tri-state residents planning to trick-or-treat this Halloween should bring coats, but other than a slight chill, the weather is expected to be pleasant during the day, according to Storm Team 4.

Sun is expected to give way to clouds in the afternoon Saturday as temperatures are forecast to reach a high of 55 degrees in midtown. The sun will set shortly before 6 p.m., giving way to cooler temperatures for evening revelers.

Don't forget to turn your clocks back one hour before you go to bed Saturday if you want to get a jump on Daylight Saving Time, which starts at 2 a.m. Sunday. Temperatures Sunday are expected to be a bit warmer, bumping up to the low-to-mid 60s for the TCS New York City Marathon.

A late shower is possible Sunday, but the weather is otherwise expected to be partly sunny and comfortable.

Expect a similar weather pattern Monday, Storm Team 4 says, before the mercury rises again Tuesday. Storm Team 4 says the tri-state could see temperatures hit the 70s again Wednesday.
