The FDNY was responding to a report of falling construction debris in midtown Monday afternoon.
The FDNY says EMS evaluated a woman at 34th Street and 5th Avenue after she was apparently struck in the head by construction debris from above.
She was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where she was listed in serious but stable condition.
Authorities were investigating at the scene.
No further details were immediately available.
