An SUV plowed all the way into a building in Queens Thursday morning, jumping up on a ramp railing and spewing debris throughout the inside of the structure.
Crews responded to the crash at a doctor's office on Queens Boulevard in Woodside at about 9:30 a.m.
Video from inside the building showed a chaotic scene: the black SUV is visible perched atop the railing with its wheels still spinning, and wreckage from the car and building are both seen splayed throughout what appears to be a waiting room or vestibule.
The vehicle appeared to be unoccupied.
"I heard a bang, I looked out the window and I see, 'Wow, a car went through the building,'" said witness Michael Markakis.
The driver was not hurt, but four other people involved in the crash were taken to a hospital, authorities said. They are expected to be OK.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but it appears the SUV hit another car before it slammed into the building. A day care on the second floor of a building next door was evacuated.
