A brush fire broke out near a port terminal in New Jersey Monday afternoon.
The small brush fire began burning near Doremus Avenue in Newark at about 2 p.m., authorities say. The site is near Interstate 95 and Port Newark.
The Port Authority said that no structures were in danger and that traffic wasn't affected. But the fire sent a thick black plume of smoke into the air Monday afternoon.
Chopper 4 footage from the scene showed several firefighters putting water on the small blaze. The flames were brought under control at about 2:45 p.m.
