JFK Baggage Handler Stole Watches Worth $130K: Police

A baggage handler at John F. Kennedy Airport has been accused of stealing more than $130,000 in watches from a bag last month, port authority police say.

Leslie Sharbo, 48, was arrested Wednesday on grand larceny and stolen property possession charges in connection with the theft at the airport on Nov. 19.

Authorities say that Sharbo allegedly took a package containing six high-end watches while working at Terminal 7, then later admitted to the crime while being interviewed by police.

Five of the six watches were found at Sharbo's home in Queens. The sixth watch is still missing.

Attorney information for the man wasn't immediately available.
