After a brief respite of pleasant summer weather, another minor heatwave is in store. But this one won't be as bad as the one last week.
Monday's high temperatures is expected to rise around 90 degrees in and around New York City, but it will feel like mid 90s thanks to the higher humidity. Storm Team 4 says conditions are expected to stay mainly dry during the day.
However, an isolated shower or thunderstorm still can’t be ruled out north and west of town during the afternoon and early evening hours, but it will be short-lived. An approaching cold front will bring in more showers and thunderstorms this midweek.
On Sunday, temperatures reached 93 degrees at JFK, 91 degrees in Bridgeport, and 92 degrees in Newark and these places could see a similarly high temperatures into Wednesday.
