Women, 72 and 102, Robbed and Attacked in NJ Home Invasion

Authorities are searching for a man who robbed and attacked a 72-year-old woman and her 102-year-old mother inside their New Jersey home Monday night.

According to police, the two woman were in the home on Dock Street in Toms River just after 8 p.m., when the younger woman answered the door and was immediately pushed inside the home by the suspect.

The woman's mother tried to activate her Lifeline pendant to alert authorities, but the suspect pushed her to the floor and yanked away the pendant before she was able to push the button, police said.

The suspect demanded cash and the victims complied. He then fled the home and ran south on Dock Street, police said. He is described as being in his 30s and approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black knit hat, jeans and a waste length coat.
