United Nations, NYC to Dedicate Climate Week

The week of Sept. 21 through 25 will feature seminars, workshops and cultural activities throughout the city

The United Nations and New York City climate change activists are teaming up for a week of events focusing on global warming.

U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg are expected to announce Tuesday that Climate Week NYC will coincide with the UN General Assembly in September.

The week of Sept. 21 through 25 will feature seminars, workshops and cultural activities throughout the city focusing on global climate change.

World leaders will also be gathering on Sept. 22 for a full-day summit on climate change.
