If you had a really good Uber experience, you can now reward your driver with a monetary tip.
Starting Thursday, New Yorkers will notice the new tipping feature on the app that drivers have been requesting.
Riders have the option to add a tip up to 30 days after the ride.
Tipping will be available to all U.S. and Canadian drivers and delivery partners by the end of July.
Uber recently announced "180 Days of Change" campaign, and each month for the next six months, the ride-hailing app aims to make improvements that drivers have asked for.
Lyft has already offered a tipping option for drivers for years.
Users must download the latest version of the app to get the tipping option when rating a completed trip.
