A man with a gunshot wound hailed a taxi to get himself to the hospital, and another man is dead, following a shooting on a Harlem street Wednesday evening, police said.
The two men were shot near West 112th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard at about 8:30 p.m., the NYPD said.
One of the victims, 23-year-old Muhammad Abdal-Aziz, sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to St. Luke's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The other victim, a 34-year-old man, sustained a gunshot wound to the torso and hailed a taxi from the corner of West 113rd Street and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard to Harlem Hospital. He is listed in critical, but stable condition.
No arrests have been made.
