St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl Enters the Record Books

It was a St. Patrick's Day party for the record books!

The 11th Annual Luck of the Irish St. Patrick's Pub Crawl broke the world record for the largest pub crawl, organizer Eddie Miller said.

The Guinness Book of World Records notified the New York City organizers on Tuesday that they were the new champs. The Luck of the Irish Pub Crawl nabbed the title with 3,163 participants on Saturday and Sunday alone.

Don't cheer to loud, because a lot of booze hounds are likely nursing world record hangovers today. It was three wild days of wearing green and downing cheap beer.

The huge pub crawl spanned five miles, 100 bars and three days in the East Village, Murray Hill and the Upper East Side.

The world record until yesterday was held by London with 2,278 boozers in attendance last year.

If you took part in the NYC bash and swear you saw leprechauns after consuming that last $1 Bud Light, apparently you weren't seeing things.  Pub crawl organizers hired a crew of little people to play the lucky green creatures just for fun.
