A retired New York City police officer who plays Santa for the children of fallen officers is hoping for a holiday gift of his own -- a new kidney.
Angelo Grande works for the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association and dresses up as Santa at the organization's holiday parties for widows and children of officers.
The 65-year-old has polycystic kidney disease and is on dialysis. The PBA is trying to find a kidney donor for him. Potential donors would need to have type O blood and get in touch with the North Shore University Hospital Kidney Transplant Center in Long Island.
