Red Paint Tossed on Mexican Consulate: Authorities

The Mexican consulate in midtown Manhattan was vandalized Tuesday morning, officials say.

Red paint was thrown on the diplomatic building on East 39th Street and Madison Avenue at about 5:45 a.m., according to the NYPD. The graffiti appears to be part of an act of protest.

It’s not the first time the Mexican Consulate was vandalized. Red paint was also tossed on the building in 2007.

No arrests have been made.
