A man tried to kidnap a four-year-old girl on Staten Island Saturday evening, police said.
The girl's mother was pushing her in a stroller near Mapleton Avenue and Olympia Boulevard, in Midland Beach, shortly before 5:30 p.m. when the man tried to grab the girl, police sources said.
The man fled the scene in a black Toyota Prius with Georgia license plates, the NYPD said.
Police didn't immediately provide additional details about the attempted kidnapping.
