A Metro-North station has been temporarily closed as authorities respond to a call at an industrial facility next to the tracks.
Police said a a tank inside Metallized Carbon Corporation next to the railroad tracks in Ossining overheated Monday afternoon. Firefighters were called to check out the tank.
There was no environmental threat or any evacuations, but service to the Ossining station was temporarily suspended as authorities investigated.
Metalized Carbon Corporation manufactures self-lubricating carbon and graphite products for industrial machines, according to its website.
