2 Men Wanted in String of Armed Robberies in the Bronx

Two men are being sought in connection with at least two armed robberies in the Bronx, police said.

The first robbery took place on the afternoon of Jan. 23. The two suspects, one armed with a gun, robbed a Metro PCS store on West Tremont Avenue.

Police said the two men forced the clerk into the basement and then stole money from the register.

No one was injured in that robbery, police said.

But the second robbery was more violent. The two suspects entered the Chimi Chimi Wireless store on White Plains Road and demanded the keys to the store.

When the clerk gave the armed suspects the keys and the two of them locked the door to the store.

They then tied up the clerk, kicked him in the face and locked him in the bathroom, according to police.

The suspects stole money and took off.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
