Long Island Bookkeeper Stole More Than $150K: Police

A Long Island bookkeeper has been arrested for allegedly stealing $160,000 from a business she worked at.

Police say Jenna Micelotta, 35, stole the money while working as a bookkeeper at Arrow Express in Freeport.

Micelotta allegedly used the company’s business accounts to buy things online and pay bills. She also deposited cash into her account, according to police.

The business’ owner realized she was stealing cash and contacted police.

Micelotta faces charges of grand larceny and falsifying business records.

She was scheduled to be arraigned in Hempstead on Friday.
